Sam George celebrates 17 years of love, 13 years of marriage with heartfelt tribute to wife

Ghana’s Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation, Sam George, is celebrating a major personal milestone — 17 years of love and 13 years of marriage with his wife, Vera George.

The minister took to his official Instagram page on Monday, August 4, to pen an emotional tribute to the woman he calls his best friend and life partner.

In his post, the Ningo-Prampram MP reflected on their journey, describing it as one marked by “highs, lows, joys and tears,” but grounded firmly in mutual love and respect.

“Today marks 17 years of our love journey and 13 years of marriage. Our love story has been a reflection of life – highs, lows, joys, and tears,” he wrote. “We have built a union built on love and respect for each other. I cherish the bond we share and look forward to the next chapters of our story.”

Sam George didn’t hold back in expressing his deep appreciation for his wife, describing her not only as a wife and mother, but as a “wonderful partner, lover… and most importantly, friend.”

“@verageorge_, I loved you that first day, today, tomorrow and every tomorrow after,” he added in the post, which has since received hundreds of reactions and congratulatory messages from followers, friends, and fellow politicians.

The post gives a rare glimpse into the private life of the vocal and sometimes controversial politician, showing a softer side that many Ghanaians found heartwarming and inspiring.

As the couple celebrate more than a decade of marriage and nearly two decades of companionship, it’s clear their bond remains as strong as ever.
