Peace Hyde selected as judge for prestigious 2025 Emmy Awards

Award winning creator and Executive producer Peace Hyde has been selected as one of the judges for the 2025 International Emmy Awards. Every year, The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences carefully selects renowned judges from all over the world who represent current trends in world television programming for its three rounds of judging.

As part of the 2025 Juror pool, Hyde’s role is integral to the vetting process of the awards goal of celebrating remarkable talent in the global television industry this year in September 2025.

Hyde, who created and executive produced the Netflix flagship and only African reality TV series; Young, Famous and African, which recently aired its third season, shared the news via her instagram page.

“It’s OFFICIAL! For the record: This is a GOD THING. Excuse me while I exist in my feelings about this. One things for sure, two things for certain, I’m doing my BEST & letting God do the REST! I am so excited to be a Juror for the International Emmy Awards 2025. It’s an honour to contribute in selecting the best in television programming from around the world! Hyde is also the creator and producer of the award winning interview series, My Worst Day with Peace Hyde on Forbes Africa TV and CNBC Africa as well as the Award winning Vice News documentary, “Inside Nigeria’s push to end police brutality.”

She was recently named by GQ Magazine as Africa’s Queen of Unscripted TV for her ground breaking creations which has propelled the positive narrative of Africa to a global audience.
