Gospel musician Bernice Offei dies at 63

Ghanaian gospel musician Bernice Offei has died at the age of 63.

According to sources say the veteran gospel musician died on Saturday morning, September 12, 2026.

Her death comes just days after she was reported missing in Accra, sparking an appeal for information about her whereabouts from family, friends and members of the gospel music community.

Bernice Offei was a respected figure in Ghana’s gospel music industry, with a career spanning several years. She was known for songs including Hold On and Life Is So Short.

She won Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year at the 2009 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The cause of her death is yet to be confirmed.
