Guinness World Records disqualifies Afua Asantewaa second longest singing marathon attempt

Ghana Tourism Ambassador Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has revealed that her second attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon (individual) has been disqualified.

In a press release issued on Thursday, May 8, 2025, Afua openly acknowledged the outcome of her recent attempt, stating that it was  “unsuccessful .” She also shared portions of the mail she received from the Guinness World Records team, detailing the reasons her second journey could not be validated.

Despite the setback, Afua expressed deep gratitude for the experience, noting that embarking on the singing marathon challenge on two different occasions has contributed immensely to her personal and professional development.
